Kevin Doherty is the host of Morning Classical at Capital Public Radio in Sacramento and an accomplished classically trained singer and performer. Praised for his powerful voice and engaging stage presence, Kevin has sung leading roles in many of the canon’s masterpieces including La Boheme, Die Fledermaus, Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Il Barbieri di Siviglia, L’Italiana in Algieri, L’Elisir d’Amore, La Traviata, Rigoletto, Il Trovatore, Lucia di Lammermoor and more. Kevin performs everything from concerts to karaoke.
 
Driven by a desire to produce music on his terms, Kevin dug into his entrepreneurial spirit and co-founded a company in Knoxville, Tennessee called Marble City Opera in 2013. MCO produces shorter and smaller scaled operas in unique spaces across the area. Now, Kevin is looking to push the boundaries of classical music convention even further with The Rogue Music Project, a collective of musicians currently based in Sacramento. RMP cultivates adventurous musical and theater experiences for audiences in the region.
